About the author

I write mysteries that start in familiar places and end somewhere much worse.

Rasmus Boserup, author of Ripple in Dark

I'm Rasmus Boserup, a Danish author writing in English. My debut novel, Ripple in Dark, follows a true-crime podcaster trying to solve an occult murder in a Maine town that appears on no map.

The stories I love tend to come from three different shelves. Fantasy gave me a lifelong appetite for impossible worlds. Lovecraftian horror gave me its sense of scale, forbidden knowledge, and the suspicion that reality is not arranged for our comfort. Nordic noir gave me patient investigations, morally complicated people, and places whose old secrets shape the present.

My fiction is where those shelves meet: slow mysteries, horror rooted in landscape and memory, and ordinary people who keep going long after the sensible choice would be to turn back. I start with the people. The impossible arrives later.

I've also spent twenty years working in IT. That's probably why I care about systems, records, and the exact moment a tidy explanation breaks. On RazuTales, I talk about books, horror, writing, and the stories that refuse to leave me alone.

Ripple in Dark is out now. You'll find every place to read or listen on the book page.
